Sen. Klobuchar Honors New Ulm Army Captain

(Learfield News/Washington, D.C.) — Senator Amy Klobuchar is honoring U.S. Army Captain Willibald Charles Bianchi of New Ulm, whose remains were identified more than 80 years after his death in World War II.

Bianchi earned the Medal of Honor for heroic actions in the Philippines and later died as a prisoner of war (POW).

Klobuchar says his recovery reflects the nation’s commitment to bringing missing service members home.
