SENATOR DRAHEIM NOT SEEKING RE-ELECTION
Minnesota State Senator Rich Draheim says he will not seek re-election in 2026. The Republican from Madison Lake announced his decision after what he called “careful consideration and discussion” with his family. Draheim said in a statement that he believes in term limits and that after 10 years in the Senate, it’s time to give others the opportunity to serve in the Legislature. Draheim was first elected in 2016 and has served on several key committees. He says his priorities in the upcoming session will be public safety, rising healthcare costs and pushing for term limits in the Minnesota Legislature.
