SEVEN PEOPLE INCLUDING FIVE CHILDREN HURT IN LYON COUNTY CRASH
Seven people including five children were hurt in a collision around 12:30 Friday afternoon on Northbound Highway 23 and 220th Street in Lyon County. The state patrol says a Ford Escape driven by -19-year-old Shelby Korman of Lynd and a Chrysler Town and Country driven by 42-year-old Christie Wieme of Balaton collided. Both drivers and five children in the Chrysler were all taken to Marshall Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Lynd Fire Department, North ambulance and Balaton ambulance all assisted at the scene.
