Sharks defeat Wild In OT
For the second time this season the San Jose Sharks slipped past the Wild in overtime, this time 2-1 from Grand Casino Arena. Matt Boldy scored his ninth goal of the season on the power play early in the second as the Wild outshot the Sharks 23-10 through two periods to control the hockey game. Boldy thinks the Wild are looking good despite the loss, compared to how the season started.
Will Smith found the equalizer midway through the third with his seventh of the season, also on the power play, and then Collin Graf scored on the only shot in overtime to grab the win and the extra point. With that the Wild see their two game win streak halted but still have points in three straight at 2-0-1. Filip Gustavsson suffers the loss on 16 saves. The Wild are home for a pair of 5 P-M starts this weekend as they’ll host the Ducks on Saturday and the Golden Knights on Sunday. Listen for coverage of both games on KNUJ, pre-game begins at 4:45pm both days.
