Shed and Contents Destroyed in Meeker County Fire

A shed and its contents were destroyed by fire in Meeker County Tuesday night.

The Sheriff’s Office says at just after 9:30pm, they received a report of a shed fire in the 16000 block of 720th Avenue in Collinwood Township.

On arrival, the 60’ x 136’ shed was fully engulfed. The shed was filled with numerous pieces of farm equipment, including a semi-tractor and trailer loaded with corn.

Authorities say the shed and all contents were a total loss. There were no injuries reported.

The property is owned by 74-year-old Galen Carlson.

The cause is under investigation.
