Simulated Nuclear Incident Drill at Monticello Nuclear Plant

(Monticello, MN) — The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is teaming up with state, county, and city agencies for an emergency drill today (Tues) at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant.

The annual exercise tests how well federal, state, and local responders would handle an incident at the facility.

Residents near the plant may notice emergency personnel conducting the drill but officials say there’s no cause for concern.
