SLEEPY EYE MAN HURT IN NICOLLET COUNTY CRASH
The state patrol was called to a crash on Highway 15 just south of the Fort Road in Lafayette Township Tuesday afternoon around 1:50 pm. Authorities say a Sterling Straight Truck driven by 48-year-old Chad Swenstad of Sleepy Eye was northbound on Highway 15 and a Ford Edge driven by 20-year-old Bryson Milburn of New Ulm was southbound on 15. Authorities say the Ford veered into the northbound lane. The straight truck swerved to avoid the SUV, went into the ditch and tipped over. Swenstad was taken to the New Ulm Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Milburn wasn’t hurt. Both drivers wore their seatbelts. The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office, Allina EMS and MnDOT assisted at the scene.
