Snowstorm Dumps Up to 8 Inches in Minnesota

(Learfield News/Chanhassen, MN) — The National Weather Service says the snowfall is expected to wind down this morning (Wed) as the system moves out of Minnesota.

Forecasters were predicting three to eight inches and Moose Lake received 8.3 inches.

Hermantown, Baxter, and Rothsay are reporting seven inches; six-and-a-half inches fell in Brainerd and Pelican Rapids; there’s six in Chokio in Stevens County, five inches near Garfield in Douglas County; 4.2 inches at Two Harbors; three-and-a-half inches in Cloquet; and three in Motley.

The Twin Cities and southern Minnesota got an inch or two.

Strong winds continue this morning statewide.
