Spicer Attorney/Spouse Facing Drug Charges

SPICER — A lawyer from the Spicer area with a large following on social media was arrested last week for alleged possession of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia.

The West Central Tribune reports on Thursday (May 23), the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office served a warrant at the home of 42-year-old Nicholas Robert Rekieta and his spouse 40-year-old Kayla Christine Rekieta.

Both are facing charges of felony second-degree drug possession and gross misdemeanor charges of child endangerment and unlawful firearm possession.

They made their first appearances Friday in Kandiyohi County District Court and were later released on their own personal recognizance.

Their next court date is scheduled for August 20.
