ST. PETER POLAR PLUNGE NUMBERS
The numbers are in for this year’s Polar Plunge held Saturday at Hallett’s Pond in St. Peter. 309 people from around the region made the leap into the freezing waters, which is over 40 more people than plunged in 2024. The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office hosted the event and said they easily cleared last years fundraising goals – raising $73,000 surpassing the goal of $65,000. LSH United, representing Le Sueur Henderson High School had a 46-member team and raised. In the 19-year history of St. Peter’s Polar Plunge, it has raised over $1.3-million and is backed by local law enforcement agencies. The event is held each year to raise money for Special Olympics.
