UPDATE – ESCAPED SEX OFFENDER BACK IN CUSTODY

The man who escaped from the Minnesota Sex Offender Program this (Friday) morning is back in custody.  Authorities say Beau-Jacob Edward Zimmer was taken into custody around 7 am.  He had escaped the St. Peter Treatment facility around 1:30 this (Friday) morning on a specialized bicycle.  Police believed that he had a kitchen knife with him as well.  Zimmer was spotted by a citizen who called authorities.  Police thank the public for help in finding Zimmer.
