ST. PETER RECEIVES FUNDS TO REMOVE AND REPLACE EAB-INFECTED TREES
The DNR has provided $300,000 in funds for St. Peter to remove ash trees that were planted after the 1998 tornado. St. Peter Public Works officials say emerald ash borer has started infecting and killing those trees so the money will help the city to start to address the issue. You may see ash trees being marked for removal. You are encouraged to contact the city if you are concerned about an ash tree on your property.
