St. Thomas Mens and Womens BB win on the road

(Grand Forks, ND/Minnesota News Network) — St. Thomas redshirt freshman foward Nick Janowski poured in 32 points and the Tommies won a ninth straight game last night, taking care of North Dakota 91-80 in Grand Forks. Janowski was 7-for-9 from three-point range and tied a program record with most points in a game since the Tommies transitioned into Division I. St. Thomas improved to 15-4 overall and 4-0 in the Summit League. The Fighting Hawks dipped to 9-12 overall and 3-2 in the league. Greyson Uelmen of Excelsior and Anthony Smith III of Hopkins paced North Dakota with 19 points. The Tommies take on North Dakota State in Fargo tomorrow at 1 P-M.

The St. Thomas women’s basketball team won a road game at Omaha last night 81-68, getting 17 points from Faith Feuerbach in the victory. The Tommies improved to 9-9 overall and 2-2 in the Summit League, while the host Mavericks dropped to 2-18 overall and 0-5 in the conference. St. Thomas visits Kansas City tomorrow at 1 P-M.
