Stars Shut Out Wild

Jake Oettinger made 32 saves to help the Stars blank the Wild 3-0 on Monday night at American Airlines Center. Wyatt Johnston and Matt Duchene scored :58 seconds a part in the second period to provide the only goals other than Mason Marchment’s empty netter with under a minute to play. Filip Gustavsson made 26 saves for the Wild as both he and the team saw their three game win streak come to an end.  John Hynes recaps the loss and says he was happy with the way they played despite defeat.

Declan Chisholm blocked a shot early in the game and did not return. His status for Tuesday night against Vegas is uncertain along with Jonas Brodin and Marcus Foligno. All three are considered day to day while Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek remain on the injured list. The Wild and Golden Knights face off at 7 P-M on Tuesday night from Xcel Energy Center.
