STATE LEADERS ANNOUNCE BUDGET AGREEMENT FRAMEWORK

State leaders have announced a bipartisan state budget agreement framework setting the stage for a busy final few days of the legislative session.  The deal was announced Thursday morning coming after nearly two weeks of daily negotiations.  Details were set to be revealed at 10:15 by Governor Walz as well as DFL and Republican leaders from both the House and Senate.  The legislature can now move forward on a long list of key budget items that have been held up awaiting compromise.  The legislature is required to adjourn Monday but the late budget deal has left little time to do a lot of work.
