State of Minnesota Veterans Day Program in Mankato
(Learfield News/Mankato, MN) — Hundreds are expected to attend the Official State of Minnesota Veterans Day Program this morning (Tues 10am) in Mankato.
Veterans Affairs Commissioner Brad Lindsay says this year’s theme is honoring our World War II veterans on the 80th anniversary of the end of the conflict.
He says we have less than two thousand World War II veterans left in the state. Minnesota State Mankato Professor Doctor Kyle Ward is giving the keynote address.
Lindsay says there’s a free breakfast and social time before the program.
