STILL NO SPECIAL SESSION CALLED

It has been just over two weeks since the legislative session ended, and still no details have been announced for the special session. Working groups have been putting the finishing touches on the budget mostly behind closed doors.  Those budget deals are now signed.  governor Walz announced that he would call a special session when that work was completed.  The governor ha a meeting scheduled today (Tuesday) with legislative leaders.  The deadline to pass a budget and avoid a government shutdown is June 30.
