Surprise! The Red Clay Strays Are The ACM New Duo/Group of the Year
The Red Clay Strays were surprised with their first Academy of Country Music Award after being named ACM New Duo or Group of the Year while recording with Dave Cobb in Savannah, GA.
Their breakout hit “Good Godly Woman” helped put them on the map and then songs like “Wondering Why” and “Stone’s Throw” became quick fan favorites.
They posted on social media: “It’s about time!”
They join Ella Langley and Zach Top as the respective Best New Artist (Male & Female) as the other early recipients of an ACM Award. The other award categories will be handed out at the full awards show.
Stream the ACM Awards hosted by Reba LIVE Thursday, May 8 at 7c on PrimeVideo.
