Suspect Arrested After 19-Mile Chase in Kandiyohi County

A 25-year-old New London man is in custody after leading authorities on a pursuit that began near Spicer and ended in Willmar that covered about 19 miles Tuesday.

The pursuit was initiated by a CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force member that attempted to stop a motorcycle for excessive speed on Highway 23. At one point during the pursuit the State Patrol clocked the motorcycle doing 123 mph on the Highway 23 bypass around Willmar.

Authorities say the driver eventually stopped and he was arrested without incident near 15th Avenue and 30th Street NW in Willmar.
