Suspect Caught After Pursuit in Kandiyohi County

A suspect with outstanding warrants was eventually caught and arrested after what began as a vehicle pursuit in Kandiyohi County Wednesday morning near Spicer.

Agents with the CEE-VI Task Force say the pursuit began in the 9700 Block of County Road 9 NE but was discontinued near the intersection of County Roads 5 and 29 because the suspect was driving recklessly going off road and marked patrol units were not close to the area at the time.

Agents located the vehicle later in the day and learned the suspect had fled on foot into a woods and out to an island on a pond.

Eventually, the 49-year-old Spicer man came back to dry land and was taken into custody.
