Suspect in Custody After Standoff in Montrose

Authorities in Wright County were involved in an active standoff with a suspect that barricaded himself in an apartment in Montrose this morning (Thursday).

At about 5:30 this morning, while the sheriff’s office executed a search warrant at 157 Mindy Lane a suspect inside of the apartment had barricaded themselves inside and a gunshot was reportedly fired from inside of the apartment.

Residents from the were evacuated and nearby residents were asked to shelter in place.

At just after 10:30am the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

No injuries were reported.
