SUSPECT IN FATAL KWIK TRIP STABBING FOUND INCOMPETENT
The man accused of fatally stabbing an employee at a Mankato Kwik Trip has been found incompetent to stand trial. Court documents say 28-year-old Michael Miller was found incompetent to proceed with the murder case due to schizophrenia and intellectual disability. A court-appointed examiner found Miller can not understand or participate in criminal proceedings and determined that he poses a substantial risk of harm to others and recommended that he be placed in a secure inpatient psychiatric facility of civil confinement. The case is suspended and Miller will be re-examined every six months. He is accused of fatally stabbing 34-year-ole Dennis Vosika multiple times at the Madison Avenue Kwik Trip in March.
