SWCD Offices Have Received Grants To Fund Well Owners With Testing
Thanks to funding from the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment, Horizon Public Health, in collaboration with Douglas, Grant, Pope, Stevens, and Traverse Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) offices, has received grant funds to assist well owners with testing for and treating contaminants in their private wells. This funding helps address common concerns such as: arsenic, coliform bacteria, lead, manganese, and nitrate.
Well owners must meet specific requirements to qualify for this funding. Horizon Public Health encourages anyone with a private well to take advantage of this opportunity to improve their water quality. Complete the Safe Drinking Water Application to see if you qualify for assistance.
