TEA FOR CANCER EVENT A SUCCESS

The sixth annual Tea for Cancer benefit for those battling cancer was Sunday at the Best Western Plus in New Ulm.  Proceeds raised from the event directly impact the local community and the funds can be used for whatever the recipients want whether its for help with transportation, co-pay on medicine, paying bills, groceries – mainly it allows families to financially focus on recovery.  The Tea For Cancer board members are still calculating the funds raised from this year’s benefit but Organizer Sandy Reinke said they raised at least $30,000 this year through tickets, donations and sponsorships.
