TEEN KILLED IN WILLMAR SHOOTING

Willmar police are investigating after a teen was killed in a shooting Monday night.  Police say they received a call around11 pm of shots fired in the 1800 block of 7th Avenue Southeast near Lakeland Elementary School.  Officers found an unresponsive male.  Medical attention was provided but the juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene.  Police say this does not appear to be a random act and the public is not in any danger.  The case is under investigation and ongoing and if anyone has information, you are asked to call Willmar police.  The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s office, State Patrol, CentraCare Emergency medical services and Willmar Fire Department are all assisting in the investigation.
