TEEN STRUCK BY VEHICLE IN SACRED HEART

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office was called to an incident in Sacred Heart Wednesday morning at 7:37.  Authorities say a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle in Sacred Heart.  Deputies, fire and EMS were dispatched and found a 15-year-old female who had been struck by a vehicle and injured.  The vehicle that was allegedly involved reportedly initially stopped but then left the scene.  The victim was taken to Granite Falls Hospital and treated and released.  Renville County deputies and the Granite Falls police department later located the vehicle and its driver in Granite Falls.  The driver was identified as a 16-year-old male from Sacred Heart.  He is said to be cooperating.  The Renville County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
