Thielen officially retires
(Undated/Minnesota News Network) — A Minnesota Vikings legend is hanging up his cleats. Adam Thielen announced his retirement yesterday. The 35-year-old split time between the Vikings and Steelers this season and finished with just 19 catches in 16 games. The Detroit Lakes native spent most of his career with his hometown team, where he earned back-to-back Pro Bowl selections in 2017-and-18. He finished his career with almost 8,500 receiving yards to go with 66 total touchdowns. He played college football at Minnesota State-Mankato and initially made the Vikings team as an undrafted free agent going through a tryout.
