Three Crashes in Renville County

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to three crashes Tuesday.

The first was a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 212 about one mile east of Bird Island.

The vehicle was traveling westbound on Hwy 212 when the driver lost control and entered the ditch and the vehicle and trailer rolled just after 4:30am.

The driver and passenger, both of Eden Prairie, suffered minor injuries.

At just before 7am, the Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a Semi-Tractor Trailer that had lost control and crashed into a power pole on County Road 9 about 5 miles south of Sacred Heart.

The driver, a 27-year-old Montevideo man, was not injured, however, he was arrested for driving while impaired and is facing possible charges.

At just after 3:30pm, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Co Rd 4 and 380th Street, about 6 miles south of Bird Island.

A semi, driven by 61-year-old William Koob of New Ulm, and a pickup pulling a trailer, driven by 66-year-old Joel Jansen of Danube, collided and both vehicles entered the ditch.

Neither driver was injured.
