Timberwolves beat Magic 104-89 for 3rd straight victory

ORLANDO, FL – Julius Randle posted 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Anthony Edwards contributed 21 points and seven assists, leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 104-89 victory over the Orlando Magic on Thursday night. The win marked Minnesota’s third consecutive triumph.

Naz Reid provided a spark off the bench with 16 points, and Rudy Gobert chipped in 10 points and 12 rebounds.

For Orlando, Goga Bitadze led the way with 15 points and eight rebounds, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 13 points. Despite the efforts, the Magic struggled offensively, shooting just 38% from the field.

Minnesota held the lead from the middle of the first quarter and stretched it to as much as 24 points. This victory also ended a seven-game losing streak against Eastern Conference teams.

Offensive struggles continue to plague Orlando, which now sits as the lowest-scoring team in the league, averaging just 104.8 points per game. Thursday’s game may have marked the final contest in a 34-game stretch without star forward Paolo Banchero. Banchero, sidelined since October with a torn right oblique, is expected to return on Friday.
