Timberwolves set for Game 1, Rudy and McDaniels honored for their defense

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Timberwolves begin the next step in their playoff journey tonight when they face the Dallas Mavericks in Game One of the Western Conference Finals. The Wolves survived a seven game series against the Nuggets to advance to the second conference finals in franchise history and the first since 2004. This time they’ll face a Dallas Mavericks team that used six games to dispatch of Oklahoma City. While the Mavs finished off the Thunder on Saturday, the T-Wolves didn’t take out the Nuggets until Sunday. Game One tips off at 7:30 P-M tonight from Target Center

(Minneapolis, MN) — The N-B-A announced Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert has been named to the 2023-24 N-B-A All-Defensive First Team and forward Jaden McDaniels has been named to the 2023-24 N-B-A All-Defensive Second Team. This is the seventh such honor of Gobert’s career. For McDaniels, this is the first time in his career being named to the All-Defensive Second Team. Gobert and McDaniels become the third and fourth players in franchise history to be named to either All-Defensive Team (Kevin Garnett: First Team, 6x; Second Team, 2x and Jimmy Butler: Second Team in 2018). This marks the first time in franchise history that a pair of teammates have made All-Defensive Teams in the same season.
