Tom Goetzinger Show

I was born and raised in Martin, SD which is 100 miles southeast of Rapid City. After graduating from the Mass Communications Department at the University of South Dakota in 1985, I worked at stations in Winner, Rapid City, and Aberdeen, SD in news, sales, and management.  In 1991, I realized that I had been in commercial radio for quite a few years and had never held a job as an announcer.  The opportunity for the Morning Person came up here at KCHK.  I got the job and in Dec. of 1991 moved from Aberdeen to New Prague and started work. Since July 2012 as the Morning Person and General Manager. My wife Kim is a Holden from St. Thomas.  We have 2 sons.  Michael Holden is married with 2 children and lives on his mom’s home place.  Sam followed in the family business.  He worked at KCHK from age 13 to High School Graduation.  He attended St. Cloud State University graduating with a degree in Mass Communications.  Sam is now a news reporter, sports play by play announcer, and weekend anchor for WDAY TV in Fargo.
