Tommies upset #4 Duluth
(Mendota Heights, MN) — The St. Thomas women’s hockey team scored two third period goals to beat fourth-ranked Minnesota-Duluth 3-2 last night at the St. Thomas Academy Ice Arena. This was the first-ever victory over a top five team for the Tommies, who scored the go-ahead with 23-seconds remaining in regulation. Freshman forward Ilsa Lindaman of Duluth scored the game-winner. The Tommies improved to 6-17-and-2 overall and 3-15-and-1 in the conference. The Bulldogs dipped to 15-8-and-2 overall and 10-7-and-2 in the W-C-H-A. The same two teams play today at 2 P-M.
