Subject: Trailer Fire in City of Kerkhoven
On Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at about 0205 hours, the Swift County Sheriff’s Office received a
report of a trailer house on fire on 11 th St South in the City of Kerkhoven. The trailer house was fully
engulfed by the time the fire department was able to respond to the scene. The fire is currently under
investigation and is being treated as suspicious in nature. If anyone has any information regarding this
fire or security camera footage of the surrounding area, please contact either the Swift County Sheriff’s
Office at 320-843-3133 or the MN State Fire Marshall at 1-800-723-2020. Responding agencies were the
Kerkhoven Fire Department, Murdock Fire Department, Kerkhoven Ambulance, and Minnesota Fire
Marshall.
