Trout season opens this weekend

(St. Paul, MN/Minnesota News Network) — The trout fishing season opens tomorrow on Minnesota streams and on Lake Superior. D-N-R program coordinator Benji Kohn says trout streams can be found all over the state. He says the hotspots are the Driftless Area 700 miles of streams in southeastern Minnesota, and the streams along the North Shore. The D-N-R has sold more than 121 thousand trout stamps this year.
