TRUMAN MAN ARRESTED IN JACKSON
A Truman man who is wanted for arson was arrested in Jackson after an incident Friday. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was called to the parking lot of the Jackson Inn around 1:45 pm where they attempted to pull a vehicle over. The driver, identified as 26-year-old Christopher Bear of Truman, took off and eventually jumped out of the moving vehicle, which continued into the Good Stop Gas Station parking lot where it collided with a parked semi. Baer then fled on foot into the Jackson Inn Motel where he was eventually arrested. He has been charged with fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and then fleeing police officer on foot. He was wanted out of Martin County for first-degree arson. No details have been released on that incident.
