(Kansas City, MO) — The Minnesota Twins gave up a go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth without allowing a hit and lost to the Royals in Kansas City last night 2-1. The game was tied 1-1 entering the bottom of the eighth when Twins reliever Griffin Jax made a two-base throwing error on a groundball by K-C star Bobby Witt. Jax then allowed an R-B-I ground out to Vinnie Pasquantino. Jax was charged with the loss in relief after Pablo Lopez left the game in the fifth inning with a hamstring injury. Twins pitching didn’t allow an earned run in the game and gave up only three hits. The Twins have dropped three straight games to dip to 3-8 this season. The Royals are now 6-5 on the season. Minnesota will send Joe Ryan to the mound against the Royals tonight for a 6:40 P-M game.
