Twins Back To Action This Evening

(Minnesota News Network- Cincinnati, OH) — The Minnesota Twins were off last night and will open a three-game interleague series at Cincinnati tonight in Ohio. The second-place Twins are 36-35 after being swept by the Houston Astros over the weekend. In fact, Minnesota has dropped eight of the past ten games and trails first-place Detroit by nine-games in the American League Central Division. Cleveland and Kansas City are also each 2-8 in the last ten games, so they have not been able to pass the struggling Twins in the division. The host Reds are 37-35 and have won two straight games, including yesterday’s 8-4 decision over the Tigers in Detroit. Cincy was also off last night. Tonight’s first pitch is set for 6:10 P-M at Great American Ballpark. Minnesota right-hander David Festa is tonight’s scheduled starter.
