Twins Blanked In Florida

(Minnesota News Network- Miami, FL) — Miami right-hander Edward Cabrera put together a dominant start as the Marlins shut out the Minnesota Twins 2-0 at LoanDepot Park last night in Florida. Cabrera earned his third win after striking out six in seven innings of two-hit ball. He is now 3-2 on the season. Kyle Stowers hit a solo home run in the victory, while Nick Fortes also drove in a run for the 38-45 Marlins, who are on an eight-game winning streak. Minnesota right-hander Joe Ryan was charged with the tough-luck loss after allowing one run on five hits in seven innings. He is now 8-4 on the year. The Twins are in third place in the A-L Central at 40-45. Game two of the three-game interleague series is tonight at 5:40 P-M.
