Twins blasted by Angels

(Anaheim, CA/Minnesota News Network) — The Los Angeles Angels rattled off 17 hits during a 12-2 win over the Minnesota Twins last night at Angel Stadium. The Angels scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and led the rest of the way. Chris Taylor had a home run and four R-B-I in the victory, and Yoan Moncada also went deep. Kyle Hendricks tossed seven shutout innings en route to his seventh win. The Angels have won two of three. Minnesota’s Ryan Fitzgerald homered in the losing effort, while Zebby Matthews was charged with his fifth loss after surrendering five runs on seven hits in four-and-two-thirds innings. The Twins have dropped seven of nine. Game three of the three-game set is today in Anaheim at 3:07 P-M.
