Twins Blow Lead
(Learfield News/Minneapolis, MN) — The Chicago White Sox scored a pair of runs in the top of the eighth inning during a 6-5 win over the Minnesota Twins at Target Field.
The Southsiders trailed by a run entering the frame before Brooks Baldwin’s game-tying double and Mike Tauchman’s go-ahead RBI.
Colson Montgomery and Chase Meidroth both homered in the victory, while Tyler Alexander picked up his fifth win in relief.
The Sox are in last place in the A-L Central at 50-88.
Royce Lewis went deep in the losing effort, and Justin Topa was charged with the loss in relief.
The Twins are in fourth place in the Central at 62-75.
The same two teams play tonight (Tuesday) in Minneapolis at 6:40 P-M.
Meanwhile, the Twins made a few roster moves prior to yesterday’s game. They added three players as September call-ups. Pitchers Travis Adams and Noah Davis, along with outfielder DaShawn Keirsey were the additions.
