Twins Crush Mariners
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Twins put five runs on the board in the first inning and never looked back as they mashed the Mariners 11-1 on Thursday afternoon at Target Field. Catcher Ryan Jeffers his his eighth home run of the season and Max Kepler added his third in the victory. Pablo Lopez got the win giving up four hits and one run in 6 1/3 innings while striking out 10. Lopez improves to 4-2 on the season while the Twins improve to 21-15 overall. They’ve won 15 of their last 17 contests. They’re in Toronto this weekend for three straight against the Blue Jays starting Friday night.
