Twins Drop Fifth In A Row

(Minnesota News Network- Minneapolis, MN) — The Seattle Mariners scored the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth during a 6-5 win over the Minnesota Twins at Target Field last night. Julio Rodriguez broke a 5-5 tie with the sac fly. The two teams traded big innings earlier in the game. Seattle jumped out to a 5-0 lead with five runs in the third inning. Minnesota tallied a four-run fourth inning to tie the game at 5-5. Kody Clemens homered and Ryan Jeffers hit a two-run double in the setback. Jhoan Duran took the loss out of the bullpen for Minnesota. The 41-37 M’s have won three straight, while the 37-42 Twins have dropped five straight games and 11 of their past 12. In fact, Minnesota is 3-15 in the last 18 games. The same two teams play tonight in game three of the four-game series.
