Twins Drop Series Opener In KC
The Minnesota Twins continued their slow start to the season with a 4-2 loss to the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium last night. The Twins gave up an R-B-I single to Kyle Isbel in the bottom of the second and trailed the rest of the way. Harrison Bader and Willi Castro each drove in a run during the losing effort, while Simeon Woods Richardson was charged with the loss after surrendering four runs on eight hits in five-and-two-thirds innings. Manager Rocco Baldelli thought Woods Richardson gave what the Twins needed.
The 3-7 Twins send Pablo Lopez to the mound against the Royals tonight at 6:40 P-M. Covergae begins at 6pm on KNUJ and SAM 107.3.
