Twins Fall For Fifth Straight Time

(Minnesota News Network- Cincinnati, OH) — The Cincinnati Reds scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth during a 6-5 win over the Minnesota Twins at Great American Ball Park last night. The Reds trailed by one before T-J Friedl hit a go-ahead, two-run double to put them up for good. Scott Barlow earned his second win in relief, while former Twins pitcher Emilio Pagan  picked up his 17th save. Cincinnati is on a three-game winning streak. Byron Buxton and Harrison Bader homered in the losing effort, and Brock Stewart was charged with the loss out of the bullpen. The Twins are on a five-game losing streak, sitting at 36-36, and have dropped into third-place in the A-L Central. Game two of the series is tonight in Ohio.
