Twins Fall In Florida
(Minnesota News Network- Tampa, FL) — The Tampa Bay Rays broke the game open in the eighth and beat the Minnesota Twins last night in Florida by a score of 7-2. The Rays led by a run entering the bottom of the frame before scoring four runs in the inning. Danny Jansen and Jonathan Aranda both homered in the victory, while former Twin Zack Littell earned his fourth win after allowing just one run on three hits in six-and-a-third innings. The Rays are on a six-game winning streak and sit at 27-26 on the year. Minnesota shortstop Carlos Correa went deep in the losing effort, and starting pitcher Chris Paddack was charged with the loss after surrendering two runs on five hits in five-and-a-third innings. The Twins have dropped three of five and sit at 29-24, tied for second with Cleveland in the A-L Central, five-games behind first-place Detroit. Game two of the three-game series in Tampa is set for tonight at 6:05 P-M.
