Twins fall late to Jays

(Toronto, ON/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Twins surrendered three runs in the bottom of the eighth during a 9-8 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre last night. Michael Tonkin allowed a go-ahead, two-run double to Addison Barger and was charged with the loss in relief. Byron Buxton homered twice in the losing effort, while Luke Keaschall and Brooks Lee also went deep. The Twins are in fourth place in the A-L Central at 60-73. They are off tonight and will host the Padres tomorrow night.
