Twins Fall To Tribe In 10
The Minnesota Twins lost to Cleveland last night, 3-2 in 10 innings. It was the first game since the team made nine trades leading up to the trade deadline — the team called up four pitchers and four position players from Triple-A St. Paul before the game. The Twins had 25 players in uniform for the game — one less than the roster limit of 26. Minnesota tied the game at two in the seventh inning on a throwing error by the pitcher, which allowed both Brooks Lee and Christian Vazquez to score. Joe Ryan gets a no-decision as he gave up two runs on five hits, one walk and four strikeouts in six innings pitched. Reliever Kody Funderburk takes the loss in relief in the tenth inning. The Twins have lost three in a row and are 51-58 on the season. They’re back at it this afternoon in Cleveland with first pitch at 3:10. Bailey Ober is projected to get the start for the Twins, against Tanner Bibee (bye-bee) for the Guardians. Coverage begins at 2:30pm on KNUJ and after Legion baseball on SAM.
