Twins lose again

(Toronto, ON/Minnesota News Network) — Minnesota all-star pitcher Joe Ryan struggled on the mound as the Twins lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 10-4 at Rogers Centre last night. Ryan was charged with his seventh loss after allowing four runs in the first inning and six total runs in five frames. This is his second straight loss. Minnesota’s Matt Wallner homered twice in the losing effort. Toronto’s Alejandro Kirk and Andres Gimenez both homered in the victory, while Max Scherzer earned his fifth win after allowing four runs on four hits in six innings. The Jays are in first place in the A-L East at 77-55. The Twins are in fourth place in the A-L Central at 59-72. They send Bailey Ober to the mound against Toronto tonight at 6:07 P-M.
