Twins Lose Late In LA

The Los Angeles Angels scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth inning and went on to beat the Minnesota Twins 4-3 yesterday in Anaheim. Mike Trout drove in the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly. Zach Neto homered in the victory, while Robert Stephenson earned his second win in relief. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli says they left too many runners on base in this one.

The 69-77 Angels have won three of four. James Outman and Byron Buxton both homered in the losing effort. The 64-82 Twins have dropped eight of their last ten games. Minnesota will be off tonight before they host Arizona tomorrow night to start a three-game interleague series.
