Twins lose series to Sox, get announced for next years Field of Dreams game

(Chicago, IL/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Twins had just five hits during an 8-0 loss to the Chicago White Sox at Rate Field yesterday. Minnesota right-hander Taj Bradley was charged with his seventh loss of the season in his Twins debut, surrendering seven runs on nine hits in five innings. He allowed seven runs in the first two innings. Colson Montgomery went deep with a two-run shot for Chicago in the victory. The Twins have dropped eight of their past ten and lost the series in Chicago two-games-to-one. The White Sox have the league’s worst record, but won the final two games of the set. Minnesota is in fourth place in the A-L Central at 59-71. Joe Ryan starts for the Twins against Toronto tonight in Toronto at 6:07 P-M.

The Minnesota Twins will be one of the featured teams in the 2026 Field of Dreams showcase. The M-L-B announced yesterday that the Twins will take on the Phillies at the field in Dyersville, Iowa, next season. The date for the game wasn’t announced, but the full M-L-B schedule is set to be released tomorrow. It will be the first game played at the Field of Dreams since the Reds and the Cubs faced off in 2022.
